As a Periodontist, Dr. Gerald Patterson believes that technology must be coordinated with personalized care to meet each patient’s expectations. “I feel it’s important to take time to provide my patients and their referring dentists with complete information to assist them in making the best possible treatment decision”, states Dr. Patterson. His commitment to a team approach which involves the patient and their general dentist helps his patients obtain the healthiest result.
Dr. Patterson attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison and continued his education at the Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. After two years in general practice in the Milwaukee area, Dr. Patterson continued his education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his certificate in Periodontics.
In addition to having over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Patterson is an assistant clinical professor of Periodontics at the Marquette University School of Dentistry and has served as a dental consultant at the VA Hospital. Dr. Patterson’s professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology and the Midwest Society of Periodontology.
Dr. Patterson is a native of Milwaukee and is an avid fisherman who enjoys going to Canada or “up north” as often as possible. He is the proud holder of two world line class fishing records by the National Fresh Water Hall of Fame. He also enjoys travel and has visited most of the United States as well as many foreign countries
